Our Story
In her mother's arms, infant Annie embarked on the whaling ships her father captained for 15 years. She refused to speak to us of the mutinies, earthquakes, slaughter. But in secret bedtime stories she told our mothers astonishing things - such astonishing things that we found a way to
share them with you.

Bedtime Story Goods:
African Drums
One morning, Annie awoke to the deep sure beat of drums. She had fallen asleep, sure, instead of her death. But father and crew had let the typhoon take them up against the coast of Africa, a continent off course, but with still a chance of making Brazil. We always imagined: what were those drums saying to one another? Just what did Annie hear?
